Now, more than ever, it is essential for educators to stand up in support of LGBTQ+ youth and to create LGBTQ+ inclusive classrooms. Over the course of 5 days, this challenge will provide you with concrete action items that you can implement immediately to create such a classroom environment for your LGBTQ+ students.
Visions of a Re/humanized Mathematics for LGBTQ+ Students (Asynchronous)
Pay What You Can: $75-150
This 6-week asynchronous course will provide educators with an opportunity to explore ideas related to LGBTQ+ identity, heteronormativity in K-12 schools, queer theory, queer pedagogy (mathematical inqu[ee]ry), and centering queer joy in their mathematics instruction.

This 8-week synchronous course will provide educators with an opportunity to explore ideas related to LGBTQ+ identity, heteronormativity in K-12 schools, queer theory, queer pedagogy (mathematical inqu[ee]ry), and centering queer joy in their mathematics instruction.

"Camp" of Mathematical Queeries
Free (limited spots available - apply today)
A COMPLETELY FREE summer mathematical problem posing enrichment for LGBTQ+ students entering grades 9-12. Throughout the virtual summer enrichment, students will explore the creativity and joy involved in mathematical problem posing as it pertains to a variety of queer contexts and queer culture. Such contexts might include the mathematics of drag and ball culture, pay inequity, "camp" fashion, problems of single issue politics, locations of LGBTQ+ centers and more. Students will also be provided with opportunities to pose mathematical questions related to LGBTQ+ cultural topics they find interesting and want to further explore.
